It now retails from Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 23.29 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). Its alternatives are the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the Mahindra XUV700.

Tata Safari Specifications
The Tata Safari is powered by an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV gets only a front-wheel drivetrain but an all-wheel drive could be introduced later depending on demand.

The Tata Safari features an 8.8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (wireless from the XZ onwards),connected car technology, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and a 7-inch semi-digital instrument display. Other features include cruise control, drive modes and terrain modes, a panoramic sunroof, an air purifier, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, powered driver’s seat, auto-dimming IRVM, and keyless entry with push-button start. Safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear disc brakes, electronic stability control, hill descent control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, tyre pressure monitoring, and a rear parking camera with sensors.
