Hyundai has showcased its Ioniq EV at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo. The styling of this pure
electric car is inspired by fluidic design philosophy of the Hyundai. The grill design, sleek
headlamps, and the strong shoulder line are reminiscent of what we have seen in current
generation Hyundai cars. However, the most distinguishing detail on this car is the high-deck
trunk which is flanked by equally stylish wraparound tail lamps. The Ioniq is powered by a
28 kWh battery that produces the power and torque equivalent to 120 bhp and 295 Nm
respectively, mated to single speed transmission with top-speed of 165 km/h. Among the key
interior features, Ioniq will offer a large 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charging
system, and innovative safety package that offers blind spot detection, autonomous braking,
cruise control, and rear traffic alert. We guesstimate the price for Hyundai Ioniq to be around
Rs 20 lakh.
