Skoda India has launched the Slavia 1.5-litre TSI at Rs 16.19 lakh for the MT, and Rs 17.79 lakh for the DCT. The larger engine commands a premium of up to Rs 2.4 lakh over the standard 1-litre TSI Style. The Skoda Slavia 1.5-litre TSI will be limited to the top-spec Style only.
The Slavia 1.5-litre TSI develops class-leading 150PS and 250Nm, figures good enough to take the sedan from 0-100kmph in 8.8 seconds, which is the quickest in its segment. It also gets a segment-first cylinder deactivation feature, which shuts down two cylinders for improved fuel efficiency.
The Skoda Slavia is priced between Rs 10.69 lakh and Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, and VW Virtus.
Skoda Slavia Specifications
The Skoda Slavia gets a 115PS/178Nm 1-litre TSI and a 150PS/250Nm 1.5-litre TSI engine. Transmission options include a standard 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed automatic (for the 1-litre engine) and a 7-speed DSG (1.5 litre). The sedan is 4541mm long, 1752mm wide, 1487mm tall, and has a 2651mm wheelbase. Its boot space is 521 litres.

The Skoda Slavia comes in three broad trims: Active, Ambition, and Style. The more powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine is limited to the top-spec Style trim.
You can choose from five colour options: Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel, Tornado Red, and Crystal Blue.
