Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss India Launch: Top 5 Highlights

Ducati India has announced the launch of the new Panigale V2 Bayliss in our market at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 21.30 lakh. While this motorcycle will be available in limited numbers, Ducati India has not revealed the total number of units that are reserved for our market. Here we bring you the top five highlights of the new Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss.

The new Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss is based on the standard Panigale V2. Thus, the motorcycle retains styling elements such as a twin-pod headlight, muscular bodywork, rider-only seat, a single-sided swingarm, a compact exhaust canister, and a sharp tail section. While the styling elements are similar to the standard model, the Bayliss edition features a unique livery. The motorcycle packs red base paint along with green and white coloured graphics. It also features Troy Bayliss’ race number 21 and his autograph on the fuel tank.

The Bayliss edition uses the same engine as the standard model. The L-twin, liquid-cooled, 955cc motor produces 152.9bhp of power at 10,750rpm and 104Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. While the output is similar to the standard model, the Bayliss edition is three kilograms lighter which gives it a slightly better power-to-weight ratio. The lower weight has been achieved through a lithium-ion battery and the single-seater configuration. Do note that the passenger seat and footrests are available in the standard equipment.Ducati Panigale V2 Fuel Tank

The feature list, too, is similar to the standard Ducati Panigale V2. Thus, the Bayliss edition comes with a twin-pod projector LED headlamp, an LED taillight, eyebrow-style DRL, auto-off indicators, a quick shifter, and carbon fibre and titaniumsilencer outlet cover. The electronic aids include three riding modes (Race, Sport and Street), Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Engine Brake Control, Power Modes, Ducati Wheelie Control, and Auto Tyre Calibration. The 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument cluster shows riding data, GPS module, multimedia options, lap timer, and anti-theft alert.

The suspension tasks on the Bayliss edition are handled by Öhlin NIX30 43mm adjustable inverted front forks and Öhlin TTX36 fully-adjustable rear monoshock. The anchoring tasks are handled by 320mm dual semi-floating discs with Brembo Monoblock callipers at the front and a 245mm single disc at the rear. The 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa ll tyres.Ducati Panigale V2 Front Fairing

Price Difference

The new Panigale V2 Bayliss is priced at Rs 21.30 lakh. In comparison, the standard Panigale V2 is available at Rs 17.49 lakh, making the Bayliss edition nearly Rs 3.81 lakh more expensive. For the additional amount, buyers get a unique livery and better hardware.
