– Launch likely soon
– Globally available in two variants
– Likely to arrive in Rs 14 lakh – Rs 15 lakh range
Suzuki Motorcycles India has released several teaser posts on its social media handles, hinting at an imminent launch of a new motorcycle. While the social media posts do not reveal the product, they suggest that this new model will arrive in the adventure segment. The teaser images emphasise the word ‘Master’. This matches the tagline for the company’s litre-class adventure tourer, the V-Strom 1050.
Internationally, the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 is available in two variants – standard and XT. The standard version rides on alloy wheels while the XT variant gets tubeless tyre compatible wire-spoke wheels. The details about the India-bound version are unavailable yet. Apart from the wheel type, the two models are distinguished through their respective colour options.
The standard model is available in two colours – Glass Sparkle Black and Candy Daring Red with Glass Sparkle Black. The XT version, on the other hand, is listed in four colours – Champion Yellow No.2 with Glass Sparkle Black, Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Brilliant White with Glass Blaze Orange, and Metallic Oort Gray No.3 with Glass Sparkle Black.
Both variants are powered by the same 1,037cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 105.9bhp of power at 8,500rpm. The new V-Strom 1050 XT will rival the likes of the Ducati Multistrada V4 and the BMW R 1250 GS in the Indian market. We expect the motorcycle to arrive in the Rs 14 lakh – 15 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
