Maruti Jimny Latest Updates
According to Maruti Suzuki India’s Senior Executive Shashank Srivastava, the Jimny’s India launch is facing certain hurdles over concerns of sales volume and logistical issues. The SUV had made its first presence in the country at the 2020 Auto Expo.
However, we believe the Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be offered in India as a five-door offering. Expect its pricing to start around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.

The India-spec Suzuki Jimny is likely to be equipped with a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that will extract up to 102PS and 130Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox could be the only transmission on offer. The Jimny will drive all four wheels and come with a low range transfer case.
The Jimny will compete with other off-roaders like the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
