About V-Strom SX
Suzuki V-Strom SX is a adventure bike available at a starting price of Rs. 2,14,230 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 3 colours. The Suzuki V-Strom SX is powered by 249cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 26.1 bhp and a torque of 22.2 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Suzuki V-Strom SX comes up with anti-locking braking system. This V-Strom SX bike weighs 167 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.
The V-Strom 250 expected to launch in the last quarter of 2017 is the third addition to the global V-Strom’s line-up which presently includes the V-Strom 1000 and 650.
Its design has been inspired by the V-Strom 1000 with its signature beak mud guard and the lack of side-fairings. It has a steep non-adjustable windshield and turn indicators mounted on the radiator casing. The bike also features alloy wheels, forged levers, visibly large disc brakes with a dual channel ABS and telescopic suspension up front and an LCD instrument panel.
The engine is based on the Suzuki Inazuma 250 and is thus, a 248cc parallel twin cylinder engine with a power output of 24bhp and 23nm of torque which will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suzuki claims that the V Strom can go for about 482 km on one full tank. The V-Strom will have a 31-inch seat height and weigh around 190kgs.
The V-Strom would compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Versys X 300, Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM Adventure bikes, which are expected to launch in India.
The bike will be offered in Black/ Yellow, Red/ Black colour options.

- Misses out on spoke wheels
- Priced a bit high
BikeWale’s Take
The V-Strom SX is a quarter-litre adventure touring motorcycle from Suzuki. It is equipped with a 250cc engine that offers good performance along with suspension travel and ground clearance that’s quite practical for India. The bike also gets a large windscreen and behind that is a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. But the bike is priced a bit high and also misses out on spoke wheels and off-road ABS.
