Volvo XC40 Recharge Latest Updates
Recently, the Volvo XC40 Recharge was listed on the company’s configurator website at a price tag of Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It’s the first all-electric SUV from Volvo and is based on the CMA platform like its petrol-powered counterpart.
The XC40 Recharge will use a 78kWh battery to power the dual-motor setup that produces 408PS of power and 660Nm of torque. It will get an all-wheel drivetrain and offer a WLTP-claimed (World harmonized Light-duty vehicles Test Procedure) range of 419km. The SUV is capable of fast-charging from 0 to 80 percent in 40 minutes.
While the Volvo XC40 Recharge does not have any direct rivals as such but it will compete with the Audi e-tron, Mercedes-Benz EQC, and Jaguar I-Pace.

It is powered by a dual-motor electric powertrain,juiced up by a 78kWh battery pack, making 408PS and 660Nm, driving all four wheels. The 0-100kmph sprint is achieved in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 180kmph.

Using a 11kW AC charger, the XC40 Recharge can can do a 0-100 percent charge in around 8-10 hours. A 150kW DC fast charger takes 40 minutes to do a 0-80 percent charge.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge is loaded with features such as a powered tailgate, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, an air purifier, a 13-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 12-inch digital drivers display, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless phone charger. The main highlight is a Google Android OS 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay,as well as built-in Google apps and services like Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play Store.
