Ahmedabad-based electric brand, Matter has unveiled its first product, an electric motorcycle with several first-in-segment features in our market. While the company has revealed the motorcycle, it is yet to announce details regarding its bookings, price, and India launch. However, the brand has revealed the final design, features, and select specifications of this yet-to-be-christened product.

The battery pack, for example, is a 5kWh unit that, the company says, has been developed in-house with Indian environmental and usage conditions in mind. The system also comprises Battery Management System (BMS), power conversion modules, and a patented Integrated Intelligent Thermal Management System (IITMS). This active liquid cooling technology is claimed to ensure optimum performance.

This battery pack is used to power a 10.5kW electric motor that is claimed to generate 520Nm of torque and is linked to a Matter Hypershift four-speed manual gearbox. This electric motorbike uses standard and fast charging through a common connector. The company says that the battery range will vary between 125km and 150km depending on the variant selected.

The electric motorbike features a roadster design that is complemented by modern features such as bi-functional LED projector headlamp, split-style LED tail lamps, body-integrated front turn signals, and a storage space with built-in lights and a smart mobile charging port. The cockpit includes a touch-enabled seven-inch instrument cluster. This unit packs 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Android software. It shows information like speed, gear position, riding mode, navigation, media, and call control.

It also gets a mobile application that gives access to remote lock/unlock, geofencing, live location tracking, vehicle health monitoring, personalised ride statistics, charging status, and push navigation. The feature list also includes keyless operations. The hardware comprises telescopic front forks, preload-adjustable twin rear shocks, disc brakes on both wheels, and a single-channel ABS.

Once launched, this motorcycle will rival the likes of Oben Rorr and Revolt RV400 in the Indian market.
