Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced the launch of the OBD2-compliant 2023 Activa125 range in our market. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer has updated the series with the addition of the H-Smart variant and the range now comprises four versions – Drum, Drum Alloy, Disc, and H-Smart.
Has the 2023 Honda Activa 125 styling changed?
The 125cc Activa range retains the styling cues from its predecessor and thus comes equipped with a single-pod headlight with a body-coloured cowl, apron-mounted front turn indicators, body-coloured front fender, and chrome garnishing on the body panel and apron. Meanwhile, the colour palette now comprises five options as against six in the previous version. The list now includes Pearl Night Start Black, Heavy Gray Metallic (Not available in Drum variant), Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Precious White, and Mid Night Blue Metallic.

Does the 2023 Honda Activa 125 get mechanical revisions?
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has added the necessary hardware to update the Activa 125 for OBD2 compliance. Meanwhile, the scooter retains the 123.97cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that delivers a maximum output of 8.18bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm.

What features does the 2023 Honda Activa 125 get?
It retains an LED headlight with LED position lamps, Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, ACG Starter, Idling Stop System, side stand engine inhibitor function, and combined braking system from the previous model. Meanwhile, the 2023 Activa125 is equipped with Digi-Analog Instrument Cluster that provides additional information like an odometer, clock, ECO indicator, and service due indicator. Then, the H-Smart variant benefits from a Smart Key System that brings features such as Smart Find, remote unlock, keyless ignition, and an anti-theft system. The smart key can also be used to open the fuel lid and access under-seat storage.

What hardware does the 2023 Honda Activa 125 use?
The scooter range retains the underbone frame and uses telescopic front forks and a three-step adjustable rear spring to handle the suspension tasks. The scooter ride on 12-inch front and 10-inch wheels. Then, the anchoring tasks on the base variants include drum brakes on both wheels, while the higher versions will use a 190mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum unit at the rear.
