Both these scooters will be based on Honda’s newly-developed Platform ‘E’. As we have reported earlier, one of these products will certainly be the electric version of the Activa 6G. In one of his interactions, the CEO of Honda stated that the first EV will be based on its existing platform. Considering Honda’s Activa brand enjoys unmatched popularity amongst all scooters in India, it seems logical and makes business to use this name for its first EV.

In its detailed plan, Honda stated that one of these EVs will be a mid-range, fixed battery type offering while the other will boast swappable battery functionality. Although there’s no official confirmation on which of these will be the Activa electric, we know it will be the one with a fixed-type battery and the top speed will be around 50kmph. However, the battery and motor specifications will only be revealed once we get closer to the official launch. We are also curious to know what kind of bodywork and feature list the Activa electric will be armed with.
