Price: The MG Gloster is priced between Rs 38.08 lakh and Rs 43.16 lakh. Prices for its Black Storm edition start from Rs 41.04 lakh and go till Rs 43.87 lakh. (All prices are ex-showroom pan-India).

Variants: MG offers it in two broad trims: Sharp and Savvy.

Colours: The fullsize SUV is sold in four monotone shades: Warm White, Metal Ash, Metal Black and Deep Golden.

Seating Capacity: MG offers its regular variants in 7- and 8-seater configurations, while the new Black Storm edition comes in 6- and 7-seater layouts.

Engine and Transmission: The Gloster comes with two diesel engine options: a 2-litre turbo (161PS/373.5Nm) and a 2-litre twin-turbo (215.5PS/478.5Nm). Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The former is a 2-wheel drive (2WD) and the latter comes with a 4-wheel drive (4WD) setup. It also comes with seven drive modes: Snow, Mud, Sand, Eco, Sport, Normal and Rock.

Features: The Gloster is decked up with amenities such as a 12.3-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-way adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charging, and a PM 2.5 air filter. Other amenities include a hands-free tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, and 3-zone automatic AC.

Safety: Passenger safety is ensured by six airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), all-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability program (ESP) and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The SUV also gets advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features like lane change assist, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.

Rivals: The MG Gloster is a rival to the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and the Skoda Kodiaq.
