The 2024 MG Astor has new features and is priced at ₹9.98 lakh
On Friday, MG Motor launched the 2024 Astor in India, adding a slew of new features. The carmaker has not made any cosmetic or material changes to the new model.

Variants and Price
MG Motor will offer the 2024 Astor in five different trim levels: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. The price starts at ₹9.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
New features
It’s an SUV with additional features like a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and auto-dimming IRVMs. The iSMART user interface has also been updated.

According to the company, the iSMART 2.0 system includes more than 80 connectivity features. In addition, there is a Jio-based voice recognition system that allows passengers to issue commands for weather, cricket updates, calculator, clock, date/day information, horoscope, dictionary, news, and knowledge.
Other features
These include automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, and electric driver seat adjustment, among others. In contrast, the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) remains unchanged.

Powertrain
It is powered by two petrol engines. A 1.3-litre turbocharged engine produces 138 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque, whereas a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine produces 108 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque. Furthermore, the former only has a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, whereas the latter has a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
